There was one at Wharfside villa ge, a tourist walking up Jacobs ladder (beaten so badly they thought he was run over by a car) and at Rhumb Lines in Coral Bay.
Pro tips: 1) Carry-on only - Takes no time. 2) Global Entry - Takes 10 minutes. You bypass the security line and go to the center line that has a closed retractable belt stanchion; it may not be marked. We love snorkeling (every day; my meditation), hiking, excursions on Voodoo and Kekoa catamarans, and staying close to Cruz Bay …fantastic foodie dinners, live music ...Grocery shopping. As far as the fish ID, I don't know my blennies but that blenny looks like a Yellow Pike Blenny like you thought (just comparing pictures).

Just visited Denis Bay- not a great path to carry much- narrow and slippery in spots with trees so you have to duck at times, but it's doable if you had to I suppose. Nice, less crowded spot and good snorkeling on the right side. Just work your way down the list calling all STT rentals (the ones that will let you take their vehicles to St. John, anyway) and all STJ rentals.

5 days ago · When coming with a group - newbies or experienced STJ visitors we usually have a few “meetings” (involves a few drinks!) where we discuss what we are bringing, dividing those items up, I put together a list of beaches, restaurants, happy hours so that once we are on island and discussing the next day’s activities we can refer to those for ideas. Our first trip to St John was our honeymoon and we did a 2 hour island tour offered through the Westin where we were staying. We had a local driver who gave us a great overview of the island. It was very helpful to get "the lay of the land" on our first day and guided us selecting which beaches to go.
